"While significant progress has been made in the past decade, it is naïve to think that biases against women and minorities are a thing of the past."
~ Dr. Javiera Guedes, Founder & President
In Switzerland, a significant gender pay gap persists, ranking among the largest in Europe. Recent 2020 data shows that women earned, on average, 18.4% less than men in similar positions. This inequity extends into the tech industry.
Nevertheless, there are positive shifts occurring despite the dominance of men in tech roles. There's been a commendable 2.2% rise in women's representation in tech positions in Switzerland since 2019. Notably, in 2022, the percentage of women in tech crossed the 20% mark for the first time since 1994. While this marks substantial progress, it also highlights the ongoing necessity for further advancement. Our mission is bridge this gap by addressing the core issues that women in tech face today.
